In the sludge and wastewater treatment industry, the direct application of pam polyacrylamide is not allowed as it can easily lead to agglomeration, which not only affects the effectiveness of the treatment process but can also block pumps and prevent further operation. So how should pam polyacrylamide be properly used when adding it?
When used in wastewater treatment, whether for sludge or wastewater treatment, it is recommended to slowly add pam polyacrylamide while stirring. One method is to sprinkle it while dissolving to effectively prevent agglomeration and reduce dissolution time. For the conditions of dissolving and stirring polyacrylamide, a cylindrical dissolving tank with a liquid level of 1.2-1.5 times the diameter of the tank can be used. Finally, the solubility of polyacrylamide is generally prepared as a 0.05%-10% water solution, and then the specific concentration should be determined based on the characteristics of the sludge.
From the above introduction, we can understand that pam polyacrylamide cannot be directly added and must be fully dissolved according to a certain ratio. It should be added in the correct order following the municipal wastewater treatment agent dosage sequence in order to maximize the effectiveness of pam polyacrylamide in wastewater treatment.
It is widely used in the wastewater treatment industry and has a good effect. Since pam polyacrylamide is a white small particle with various molecular types, it is necessary to strictly control the selection, dissolution, ratio, and dosage in order to achieve good effects in municipal wastewater treatment.
It is best to add pam polyacrylamide in batches, i.e., add a portion of the flocculant and quickly mix it with water. After 1-2 minutes, add another portion of the flocculant and mix with water again. Generally, it is best to add 60% first and then add 40%.
The concentration of pam polyacrylamide can be reduced. Generally, anionic flocculants should be prepared as 0.1% solutions, while cationic flocculants should be prepared as 0.2% solutions. If the preparation tank is small but the daily dosage is large, a higher concentration can be chosen and then diluted before use.
If the pH value of the wastewater is too high or too low, it should be adjusted first. When used in conjunction with inorganic flocculants, the pam polyacrylamide should be added after the inorganic flocculants.
Using pam polyacrylamide does not mean that the higher the molecular weight or the greater the dosage, the better the effect. It is necessary to conduct tests and select the best dosage and ratio based on the water quality of the wastewater in order to achieve the optimal treatment effect, reduce agent waste, and save costs.
